Eytan Ipeker - editor
Eytan is a director, editor, producer and an experimental filmmaker currently based in Istanbul. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch Shool of the Arts in 2003 and attended Berlinale Talent Campus in 2008. His experimental videos screened at 35th Toronto and 66th Edinburgh Film Festivals. He co-founded Kamara production company in 2011. Together with his partner Yoel Meranda, he produced “Albüm” (2016) (an Arte France co-production) which won the France 4 Visionary Award at the 55th Semaine de la Critique at Cannes 2016, Best Feature at 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival and Best First Feature at 33rd Jerusalem Film Festival.
His short film “Unmade Bed” (2015) and medium-length documentary “Idil Biret: The Portrait of a Child Prodigy” (2015) were screened at various film festivals including Istanbul, Sebastopol, Antalya, !f Istanbul and Documentarist. Currently, he's working on his new documentary project, a co-production between Turkey-Denmark-Israel presold to Danish Broadcasting Corporation and supported by the New Film Fund.
Eytan edited Gurcan Keltek’s “Overtime”(2012) which was screened at Visions Du Reel and DOK Leipzig. He was one of the editors for “Saroyanland” (2013) which won the Golden Apricot Award at Yerevan Film Festival. He also edited the international trailer for the acclaimed Turkish director Yesim Ustaoglu’s “Somewhere in Between” (2012) which premiered at Venice Film Festival’s Orizonti Section.
